How can we use solar energy in our daily life?

Solar energy is perhaps the most easily usable and most convenient of the renewable energy (green power) sources.  Many solar energy applications have been formulated, and almost everyone can take advantage of one of these solar power applictions.

How can we use solar energy in our daily life? May you list your experiences with solar energy applications below? Can you teach us your usage of solar energy in daily life? Your experience listed here surely will save the environment.

One common solar energy application is to use solar power to heat your hot water. Generally this form is solar water heater. Solar water heaters are common in some areas of Chongqing, Hubei Province in China.

Solar powered garden lights may be common in Europe, North America. Maybe you have used or are using these solar powered lights.

Some may use the large solar panels mounted on roofs of their home, thus generate electricity for home.

Some may use some solar-powered gadgets for their homes, their cars.

  • That's true, some people use the large solar panels mounted on roofs of their home, thus generate electricity for home. But that's rare in China, i saw very few of this kind application.

    But i know in many Europe countries, this is very very common, they use the power supplied by the large solar panels mounted on their roofs to support almost every electric appliance.

    Not only home electricity supply, a very common application is outdoor lighting system, not only garden lighting by solar energy, the high pole road lighting, the street lighting, can be supported by solar energy too, some might supported by a combination of solar energy and wind turbines.

    Hope to hear different voice regarding other applications of Solar energy.

    Yes. It's rare that people in China use the large solar panels mounted on roofs of their home, thus generate electricity for home。

    The installation cost is expensive in China. I think the government need to provide some financial support.
